About the Principia Femboydia

So what is this?

Hello there! I'm Kamome, in case you're coming here from somewhere other than my homepage. This is a little project I'm working on putting together call the Principia Femboydia (name pending).

The Principia Femboydia is a amateur zine created for and by feminine people navigating the tulmultous waters of 21st century gender expression. We exist in small pocket communities across the internet, which often have different ways of celebrating femboy culture. Overwhelmingly though, there is an emphasis on the visual aesthetics of feminity through pictures and videos. This project hopes to provide a new way to connect our dispersed communities and provide new avenues of expressing identity. The Principia Femboydia, in short, is intended be a living showcase of the femboy canon.

Its also worth acknowledging here that this work was inspired by the folks at Lainzine. I don't expect to emulate their successes, but I immensely admire the effort they've dedicated to their community.

And what's it got to do with me?

Chances are you're here because you'd like to be the recipient of such a zine. Once I get things up and running, I'll be hosting digital copies of the zine on this website. I hope that once I do, you'll find something interesting here to read, no matter what you're looking for.

And of course, what is a zine without content? Though I'll be hard at work writing my own articles and sticking everything together, you're absolutely encouraged to share! Please take a look the submission guidelines if you're interested in contributing to this endeavor. As a fledgling community project, any help at all is crucial in shaping the Principia Femboydia into the publication you'd want to read.

At this time, I'm not sure of the kind of engagement this project will get, so I haven't set up dedicated means of communication. Stay tuned for a possible Discord server? In the mean time, feel free to reach out with any questions and comments at kamome.bk@protonmail.com. Thank you!

What does Kamome get out of this?

To be entirely honest, my main motivation for doing this is that I'm godawful at typesetting in LaTeX and need the practice...

But, I also am new to figuring out my own identity stuff. I think a good way to connect with the femboy community (and to give back to them!) is participating in some sort of project. I didn't find any that were appealing to me, so I decided to start my own.
